Interior Design Business Card

The Inner Beauty Design business card highlights my skills as an interior designer. It is directed to my clients, providing my phone contact information, as well as the store location. After brainstorming many ideas of what my business card’s canvas would be, I finally settled on one. The card is an actual paint swatch, specifically highlighting certain shades of blue. I have a series of business cards for my company, as every client receives a different paint swatch color shade. I feel paint swatches serve as an excellent canvas for advertising my business because color is one of the most important interior design elements. Color schemes play a major role in designing a room. Paint swatches are useful tools, as they display a range of colors that can help the client and designer in the decision-making process.

Touchdown Communications Business Card

The Touchdown Communications PR business card highlights my skills as a sports team public relations writer, specifically football. It is directed to potential employers. I wanted this business card to focus on a football scene, as my subject for PR writing is a football team. I also wanted to display the football team in a positive light, either by showing a dedicated crowd of fans or by showing a scoring play. I tried searching for images online, but none seems to fit my vision. I visited Auburn University last weekend to attend their football team’s home game verses Mississippi State. While at the game, I took some photos with my digital camera. Later on this week, I was searching through some of my own photos, hoping to find something that might work well with this business card, and I stumbled across a photo that I took at the Auburn game. It was perfect because it showed both the dedicated fans and a flag-runner running across the field, due to a scoring play. The flag had an Auburn University logo on it, so I photoshopped the photo so that it was just a plain white flag. I still wanted some movement in the flag, so I used the smudge tool to recreate wind lines in the flag, as the flag-runner sprints across the field. I feel this business card conveys my message as a skilled PR writer. The crowd in the background symbolizes my ability to promote the team and the flag-runner symbolizes my ability to work hard and score big. The fact that this is one of my own photos helps to convey the message that I love my work, as I attend many football games.

Allstar Recipes Business Card

The Allstar Recipes Tailgate Takeout business card highlights my skills as a cook. It is directed to my clients, providing my own phone contact information, as well as the kitchen’s information. The business is not a seat-down restaurant. Rather, it is a delivery or pickup service for tailgaters. Game Day requires a tasty pregame. I wanted the card to demonstrate that my takeout service can provide clients with delicious food that is perfect for any tailgate. I brainstormed many ideas, but I settled on the idea of a relatively universal sports symbol that any tailgating client could recognize: a foam finger. I incorporated food into that symbol by photoshopping a fork into the foam finger. The card is two-sided, with a front and a back. I would have a series of business cards. Every card would have the same front with the fork and foam finger, but the backs would all the different. Each card would feature a recipe from my kitchen. It would not be a list of ingredients, but rather the name of the featured recipe and a picture. For example, this business card shows Recipe # 32: Playoff Pasta Salad. I placed the recipe in a pennant because it reinforces the tailgate theme into my business card.

Most schools focus on interior beauty. Elon’s interior buildings are impressive and extravagant; however, its exterior beauty is far beyond that. The way the grass is a luscious green and the way the fountain water sparkles beneath the sun’s rays.. it all adds up to a beautiful place to study and live for four years.
